Spice Rack Kitchen Types
By now you have realized the large number of kitchen spice racks that are available in the marketplace today. There are designs of every shape and size for every type of kitchen. To determine the best kitchen spice racks for your kitchen you need to decide which one is best for you.
One new type of spice rack is the Zero Gravity Spice Rack. This rack, sometimes referred to as a magnetic spice rack, uses gravity to hold the spice jar to the rack. Sometimes the rack is designed where the jar hangs down from the rack using the magnet to hold it. This design is not only futuristic looking, but is quite functional. It allows you to grab a jar and replace it easily all while keeping the spices out of the way.
Another favorite spice rack is the Carousel Spice Rack. A carousel spice rack is set upon a splitting platform that allows you to have spices on all sides with easy access to them call. One drawback with carousel spice racks is that to keep the carousel small they tend to hold limited numbers of spices. This type of rack is great for the casual chef but for those that cook often another spice rack may be a better choice.
Another popular spice rack is the cabinet spice rack. The cabinet spice rack keeps all your spices tucked away nicely in your kitchen cabinets. This is very important when you cook often as the rack stays hidden from sight to keep your kitchen looking neat and clean. Most cabinet racks fasten to the inside of the cabinet door with screws, others can be affixed with glue or other type of sticky substance. A cabinet spice rack can contain from one to four ties. Tiers are just the number of shelves the rack contains. Depending on the cabinet door that you will install the spice rack on will determine the number of tiers it will have.
Kitchen spice racks come in all different varieties and it is up to you to determine which has the functionality and style that is needed for your kitchen. Spend some time looking at the different styles and make sure to have some measurements of your kitchen based on the style you want to make sure that it will fit in your ideal place in your kitchen.
